hi, i just got my first road bike specialized allez and im thinking of changing the saddle to a romin evo expert. do i need to change the seatpost in order to change the saddle? someone told me that i need to change the seatpost else the saddle wont fit. if so, any recommendation on a light seatpost for budget below $100? :D

Most saddles have have two rails and are interchangeable, some companies have other saddles that are not interchangeable like the Selle Italia Monolink which has a single rail. If the bike is new it should've come with a bog standard own brand saddle so the romin should be fine. I bought a MonoLink by mistake once but in my defence it was t not in the description, I was wondering why a SLR had 80% off.

You would only need to change the seatpost if the new saddle has carbon rails but the evo expert doesn't have carbon rails.
