Hello to everybody.
I am trying to buy myself a reasonably good bike and I found two that I really like. I have no experience in buying a bike and this is why I need your help to guide me which one is better (as far as the specs of the bikes go).
I'll mainly use the bikes to travel to college:
 It will be off road (pavement driving, so things like kerbs, wholes, instant breaking and loads of manouvers - in a crowd of people - with slow speed).
Here you have the links.

Very little in it - but both are pretty poor for that cash. Are you limited to Tredz?0

No, I am not, but I was also looking through different websites and was looking for various bikes and these two look nice to me. Please, bear in my I also want to enjoy the design of the bike. Do you know any other bikes that would you advise me to buy? That are max Ł300 ?0

Any good ones?0 -
I'd avoid anything with dual suspension at this price. I'd look at the Carerra range at Halfords and the Rockriders at Decathlon. Most have good solid components.0

Alright, thank you. Now I found these two. Any good ones?
This one was Ł600

The Titan is a better buy - smoother fork, disc brakes, superior gears. Was never worth 600 but at 300 is good value. I'd take a look at one.0

That was never worth anywhere near £600 - Halfords random 'sale' prices. Maybe worth the asking price. The other is just plain nasty.
This is better

Well, I trust your experience so BTWIN seems okay to me. Thank you supersonic for your guidance and cooldad for the link. Any good ones you would recommend for the price limit?
P.S. I have foreign language keyboard so I cannot use pounds symbol. Ł stands for pounds in British Currency.0 -
A word of warning, colleges are ripe for bike thieves, you either need very good (expensive/heavy) security or you want a bike that looks less attractive to thieves!
That said, this is a good option for the money (and I think it looks 'nice' as well!)
