Frameset is a Waltly titanium, seems to be nicely made and finished. Had some Syncros FL29 rigid carbon forks in a box, and figured they'd be a good match, plus a rummage through the parts box gave me a few bits and pieces. 2*10 sp XT drivetrain from Merlin for sod all, and spent the savings on some carbon wheels. Not usually a Spesh parts fan but these are allegedly ok? Hope so... Conti X-King tyres in XL 2.4" wide to make up for no suspension.

Bar is a Crank Brothers Iodine 11, post is a Syncros carbon and saddle is a completely inappropriate Zoncolan from San Marco, which will almost certainly go!

3T Stem will probably change, and have a flat bar option or two to try as well.

Not ridden anywhere yet other than up my really steep (!!) driveway with ease, so might be fun to punt about some local trails.

Took this out yesterday for the first decent ride. Local trail has had a lot of rain of late, so is very rutted, and lots of exposed rock and tree roots which I figured would be horrible on a full rigid frame.

Despite getting the tyre pressure wrong making for a bumpy ride at times, this thing is astonishingly quick. Just rolls over everything. My mate on a Trance kept dropping back a long way on anything other than downhills. We swapped bikes so he could try it, and promptly disappeared into the distance on me.

Next ride tomorrow. Softer tyres, will swap the saddle for another more suitable, and try something a bit more tricky, should be a hoot!
