Hi
Due to having young twins, I have been off the scene for a while. Anyway getting back in to it a bit. When I was still hitting the trails i got an on one 456 steel frame and switched all my kona cindercone parts over due to the frame being to big. I upgraded several parts to. I had my lbs do the work. At the time, the guy said that my headset was almost ready for packing up. My bike seems fine still. Not sure what the signs of a knackered headset are? It still turns smoothly enough.
I know nothing about headsets.I do know I would want to pick my own though. The lbs is old school, if you went down there for one, you wouldn't know what they had put in.
Please advise

If it feels smooth then it's fine. The only sign of a tired headset is that it starts to feel rough.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
