does a garmin sensor tick?

odd one this!
had an odd noise coming from my bike like rubbing noises, figured the cable for front mech was catching crank arm which it was, but also noticed a ticking noise.
couldnt work out what it was then realised that it happened every time the magnet went past the sensor - and coincided with the little green light. magnet isnt anywhere near the sensor so does it tick to register the rev?

Yeah, it is very quiet though, dont think you would hear it on the bike, if you do check the magnet isn't clipping the sensorwww.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -
Or what happened on mine which was that the magnet was touching the chain stay ...0

some sensors use a reed switch, these make a slight tick as they close/open each time the magnet passesmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0

I had the exact same thing happen last night on a ride.
All it was in the end was the sensor had moved a fraction and was clipping the magnet, easy fix.0 -
Are you sure your OH hasn't strapped a bomb to your pride and joy!?0
