Something a bit different.... loved my Trigon RQC29 so much, have gone for their new Aero frame:
Spec:
Frame: Trigon TR-437 (from Cycle Division)
Wheels: H Plus Son Archetype on Powertap rear hub and Via Front hub
Chainset: DA 7900 53x39 175mm
Mechs, Shifters: DA7800
Brakes: TRP TTV "Aero"
Saddle: Prologo C.One 50
Handlebars / stem: Trigon RB117 Integrated
Pedals: Ultegra
Comes in at 17lbs which was a nice surprise for an Aero bike with a Powertap hub.
Not ridden it yet, just finished 30 minutes ago!
And would love a DA9000 upgrade kit, but bank balance not supporting that yet!

Oooohhh, rats. I never noticed!
I'll kill my wheelbuilder!!!!!
I can't leave it like that.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0 -
Well, I'll just reverse the front wheel and at least it'll match.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0

That's pretty smart. It definitely needs deeper wheels though.
Is that a garmin mount with things either side to fit lights? Or is it just my eyes playing tricks?Red bikes are the fastest.0 -
It's just a Trigon handlebar extension to mount a computer and maybe a shopping basketWeather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0

Aero, with that much exposed cabling?0

RQC29 looks good and heard its good. This however..... I'm not keen on the paintjob0

I did a quick survey of my other wheels - and most are like my Archetype rear!
There is probably a rule somewhere, but I'm a bit happier now.
As for the frame paint job, yes, not as nice as the "29", the font of "Trigon" isn't particularly nice, but overall it's growing on me.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0 -
That is a stunning machine...0

Are you sure you haven't fitted the front the wrong way round? One way or the other it doesn't matter, there are pros and cons in the way they look either way, as long as they match... I can't believe a builder would allow himself to build them un-matched. If that's the case, you can still swap the front, but then the hub logo will be the wrong way round... less annoying though... :roll:left the forum March 20230 -
The front was the right way round, the wheels aren't built consistently.
Not happy with the build (but won't name and shame), needed truing after the first ride and the spoke tension is too low.
So now the hub is the wrong way around, but luckily the Via hub has a very subtle graphic so difficult to pick out.
Blimey, I should listen to myself! This is very OCD!!!!Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0 -
I maybe wrong but if you take the wheel and skewer out turn the wheel round then put the skewer back in won't the names match up then?0

Yes, thanks, did that, but the hub is now the wrong way around.......minor detail (for some :-) )Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0

Why not? If it was Planet X you would be all over the place, wouldn't you? I appreciate you don't want to ruin someone's business... but if that someone makes two mistakes, one of which is amateurish but forgivable in the great scheme of things, the other one is more fundamental, maybe he shouldn't be in business after all... :roll:left the forum March 20230 -
Because to be fair to the guy, I have't given him the opportunity to put it right.
Quicker to true and tension them myself. But yes, a bit galling that I could have probably built them better initially.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0 -
I've just got one of these, it's fantastic. Much better than expected. Had a Caad10 sram red and defy advanced force and 437 is a better bike than both. Zipp finishing kit and 11 speed Sram force. Cero 50mm carbon wheels.0
