Due to a snapped shifter cable, I'm going to make the most of being able to re-cable the whole bike & remove my CX handlebar brakes (that I've never used).

I'm wanting something that lasts well and offers a good level of comfort as this bike is my commuter/tourer/long distance bike all in one. I've been thinking about some Brooks tape but looking for other ideas's/recommendations from what you have used.

My current OEM tape is white with a red background, I'm not sure what make it is but so far I've been very impressed with it, hopefully it will have a marking of somekind on when I take it off for more ideas.

Thanks
Matthew

Lizardskinz are spokennof highly. Quite dear, but if you're also considering brooks, then it won't be a prob. Spa cycles also do their own branded leather bartape at around half the price,if i recall correctly.

Have a look at Easton cork tape, retails around 7-9 quid and is quite hard-wearing, plus it's cheap enough to be replaced as desired :)
