He joined us a few years ago.
Succumbed to the temptation of the other forum and chopped in his Tricross for Surly Steamroller.
Then got hit by a car, and in the foggy haze that was his recovery he accidentally entered a ballot. And got accepted.
He's running the marathon this weekend. The fool.

    Oh dear, good luck Mr Hatbeard. I knew he'd gone the way of that other forum for singlespeeded Londoners, but didn't realised he gone as low as running.

    Finished in 3:52:42, no stopping, pretty much pain free.

    however I did get a strava suffer score of 830? is that enough pain and suffering for you lot?

    Well done, I think just finishing is more than enough suffering for me. Actually starting is probably more than I can handle. Getting under 4 hours sounds good to me. Am I right in thinking under 4 hours is fast for a leisure runner?
    Did you wear your hat?
