Gore RideOn cable question...

I've managed (long story) to knacker the inner cable where it clamps to my rear derailleur. It's a Gore RideOn cable.

Is it possible to replace just the inner, or will I need to do the outer as well? This will involve all the hassle of stripping and retaping my 'bars....

I don't mind buying the whole (inner + outer) set and "saving" the outer. Just trying to work out how much hassle this is going to be to fix!
