Hi all,
im looking for a 26inch by 1.5 nobbly tyre for my hardtail. Im wanting to be able do some road miles leading onto off road terrain. Its in preperation for some longdistance rides/races.
p.s. I cant afford a cyclocross bike before anyone suggest that option!
Any help please.

Why skinny - just get a semi slick or something with small knobs.I don't do smileys.

A tyre that narrow will be constantly pinch flatting unless you run it at a huge pressure.
How about something like a 2" Racing Ralph. Nice and light and fast.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
The narrowest tyre I know of that suites what you want is a 26x1.8" Panaracer Fire XC Pro.
There are some narrow (1.5") mud tyres but they would be hopeless on the road.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Just get a summer trail tyre, like what Rockmonkey said.
