Love this bike - wanted one for a few years and finally took the plunge. Great frame and I would love to have built one up but got it on Evans R2W in the end - just contemplating better wheels....

Looks good... and the wheels don't look nasty at all... silver spokes make them look quite bespoke. Love the Brooks saddle, I have the same, but after many years it looks completely different... but hate the saddle bag, it's hideous, bin it!

Yes the wheels are ok and it's meant to be a "winter bike" anyway :D

Think I will see how much I ride it over summer then take a view on whether or not I change the wheels. saddle bag is a necessity I am afraid! Did have mud guards to go on it but thought better of it in the end.

Randonneur PRO... you should get 6-8K miles puncture free out of them if you run them at 60 PSI... awesome tyres

Currently lusting after one of these or a day one disc as a wet weather commuter.

Whats the max tyre size you can get under guards, 32mm?

UGO to be honest I have modelled this on your bike based on the reviews you have given on the tyres and saddle etc, hope you don't mind!

Can't recommend this bike enough but then anyone who gets a newish bike will say that. You will struggle to fit guards with the stock 32mm cx tyres due to fork clearance issues but you will be ok in you go with a 32mm road tyre. I think Genesis recommend a certain type of mydguard for this bike if you visit their website.

On that note I have to say how amazing Genesis were. I contacted them to see if I could buy a shorter stem from them so the finishing kit remained matching and they sent me one free of charge including postage and then to top things off gave me 2 free Genesis water bottles, amazing service and all done via email. :D
