Hi,

I want to convert the rims to tubeless but the kits on the notubes website all seem to come with a rim strip but reading other posts they say I dont need a rim strip but just tape and valves.

I wondered if anyone else has done it and can recommend a kit?

Thanks

Gavin

No you need a rim strip of some sort, what other posts?

Rim strip is needed but the ghetto way is to use a inner tube that is cut up.

This one but maybe I misunderstood what it was saying plus I know the rims are S-XC2 but also guessed they are the same?

I done my s xc's which are much the same as the p xc's. You will need to use a rim strip. I used gorilla tape and cut valves off old tubes and stans sealant. Saved a fair bit money and have had no issues for 5 months.

I did the conversion on my s-xc2's with proper rim tape and stans.

Have to say I've had a few issues with burps at low pressures but I would put that down to schwalbe tyres have really soft sidewalls.
