Giant or Kona

Hi all
This is my first post and any advice would be appreciated.
I am looking to purchase a bike having not been on one since I was on the back of my mates grifter 30 odd years ago.

I have narrowed it down to a Giant Talon 2 27.5 or a Kona Blast 27.5. I have a max budget of 800.00 but need a bit of advice.

Any advice would be appreciated.

    I used to have a kona cindercone/ I actually still have part of it as I swapped the frame out for a on one 456 due to the frame being too big. Anyway. I loved it and the parts still in use are still going strong
