Assuming you mean 'Mach 2', both are old rims and fairly 'sturdy' - what are they going on?

Hi impostor yes I do mean mach 2 and the gp4 rims are on Mavic hubs with a screw on block. And the mach 2 rims are awaiting hubs

Very different rims. The Mach 2 were similar to Wolber Profil and Campagnolo Omega V... they were track/TT rims, light, fast but a bit scary to brake on, especially in the wet. They are not machined and have no brake track. I only use my Omega V for time trials and short blasts around Richmond Park.

The GP 4 was a box type rim, pretty strong and robust... at the time it was Mavic's offering for Roubaix and the likes... before Nemesis became the PRO choice

So they have different jobs really. I think I will just use the GP4s for now .
    Thanks guys
  • Well its been a while. But as I have a heavy cold I spent the weekend finishing the mach 2 wheel build. So I built the front 1 cross and the rear 2 cross. Ali nipples tricolour hubs and wrapped up in Conti competitions . 1160g for front 1660g for the rear. Looking forward to ride on them now. Well I had the scales out I weighed my DP18's with Lothian tyres fr 1410g re 1810g. Close to 1/2kg heavier.
