No, after last years race I felt the race has had to much of the unpredictability taken out of it due to animal rights brigade being pandered to. However I did watch and it turned out to be quite eventful.

Don't fix punctures by the side of the road, just carry some spare tubes.

Always carry a spare tub in your poacher's pocket and a Co2 canister.

I think there's a possibility of going off topic...

I gave up on this one when I realised how many nags were dying. Don't quite get horse racing and the pics from ladies day kind of reinforce that. Think I will stick to playing with my conkers...

Never bothered me, I love lasagne.

Why would you make lasagne made with horse? Just eat horse meat a la Francais. Nothing wrong with it - quite tasty in fact.

I think I may have rabbit tomorrow if my local butcher has any.

No prob with viande de cheval, or lapin for that matter. Just doesn't sit well with me that they are worked to the limits of their endurance and put to death in the name of sport for the benefit of vacuous cretins like we see in the pix...

Pina usually gets to 'recycle' all the horses that don't make it.
    He is disappointed this year.
