can anyone recommend an inexpensive forward offset seatpost to try out a new position please?

    If you have a rear offset seat post you could always turn it 180% :wink:

    You can't always get the saddle level if you turn a normal post by 180 degrees. I bought a Profile Fast Forward post that supposedly puts you in more of a TT bike position. 50 quid at Ribble or the aluminium version, bit more for carbon.
