Anyone got any suggestions for a hand built wheel site?
Looking at these http://www.4thebike.de/laufraeder/rennr ... fach-rotor
They seem good value, I like campy shamals but would prefer something with a 40 mm rim ish, under £400 possibly, obviously around the 1.6 kg mark, dark rims if possible, any suggestions welcome!

Depends on where you live. Not Germany I expect? Best to go visit a wheel builder rather than buy on spec alone. Why do you want a 40mm alu rim, it will be heavy or compromised in some way if not heavy. Carbon from China your only option if you want a light, 40mm rim wheelset.0

Do you know any sites for the Chinese carbon?Wilier GTR and Italian Tifosi Stalion0

If you like the Shamals then the Zondas have the same spoke pattern.
Cheaper and about 1550g. My Zondas are still true after about 7 years.
My Shamals roll better and worth the extra IMO.0 -

Hi Andy. I am about to but some from farsports. About £400 for a set of 38mm clinchers.0 -
Yeah, look quite good those, do they have aluminium breaking bitsWilier GTR and Italian Tifosi Stalion0

Nope, full carbon. Got them last week and very impressed so far. Seem to hold their speed very well and braking is on par with my alu rims (probably worse in wet conditions) but with confidence.0
