I was out on a ride and the air side of my forks (Rockshox Recon Silver TK) blew the seal off from the top...
Does anybody know why and/or how to fix it?
Cheers

If they still feel ok then just push the seal back in. It's probably a sign that the seals are dry and it's time for a lower lube.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

They don't feel okay, they are waaaay too soft. I did a re-lube about a month ago.0

Probably blown a seal in the air spring.
Strip and inspect, it may just be an o ring popped out. The manuals on the Rockshox website explain it in simple steps how to service the air spring.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I tried this as well; it was why I replaced the oil. I think it may be the air spring that has blown but I can't get into the chamber to inspect it, and they are only for sale from America so the import charges will be huge.. It could be cheaper to sell the lowers and the stanchions and buy another pair?0

You should be able to remove the air spring by unscrewing it from the top of the crown using a 24mm socket. I would be surprised if TF Tuned don't have the parts in stock.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Nope, they are only available in America off Ebay...0

You won't need a complete air spring. You will just need an air service kit at worst. Available here http://www.tftunedshox.com/Catalogue/Sh ... econ-PartsTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

send them to sramtech, shouldn't be more than £80 at retail.0

The air service kit is too old if you like for my forks.
I'd rather sell the parts and get a new pair than have the hassle of sramtech0 -
meh, usually 2-3day turnaround and they tend to have every part in stock. If they can't fix then they'll do you a price on a replacement.0

how can you get a quote from them?0

Follow this link . Select your fork by year . Every part no can be identified along with step by step service guide.
My Sid fork did the same. I got a service kit from Petra cycles in Oxted Surrey. Full strip and new oil and o rings fork felt better than new.
The reason it happened is that air from lower chamber was able to move to top one. Too much pressure then popped seal.
I can't believe only the US can supply.Fisher UK have everything but you can't deal with them directly.0
