Waterproof clothing that's waterproof

Just wondering if there is such a thing as waterproof cycle clothing that is actually waterproof...?
I was begining to get some good rides in then the downpours started a couple of days ago and my rides have come to an abrupt hault.
And i'm falling behind on the Specialized challenge on strava.
I remember as a biker (motor) spending hundreds of squids on an all singing and dancing waterproof jacket that still managed to leak. So I was wondering if a wateroof outfit on my bike is a nirvana type myth.
I've got a pretty smart drysuit for my kayaking but I doubt it'll be much use on my bike.

Unless you wear waterproof trousers and a hideous rain cape like this, you're going to get wet eventually.
The alternative is to man up!0 -
If you ride at any tempo, you'll get wet from the inside quicker than from the outside, cycling clothes can't breath quick enough to let the perspiration out. Best you can hope for is to keep warm.0
