Fitting punctured tubeless tyres

Hi,
Converting my Bontrager Rhythm elites to tubeless as sick of constant punctures. I have the Bontrager kit.
I'm pumping my tyres up with my track pump, before adding sealant, but because my tyres have a fair few hawthorn punctures the air is escaping pretty rapidly.
Shall I just get them as high as possible before adding the sealant through the valve, as bontrager recommend or add some to the tyre before seating it?
Or, do i need new XR4 Team Issues?
thanks
Paul

I would add plenty of sealant and then pump and keep pumping, make sure you get sealant all around the tyre so the sealant can get to the holes and then lay flat on each side for a bit. Then pump up again. You could always patch the holes from the inside but it is amazing what sealant will seal!coiler - http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1463278/

You may need to reinflate a few time, but if you can manage it its worth it for that smug peace of mind when cycling past cut hedges!coiler - http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1463278/
