Tyres for Alps

Going to the Alps (Morzine) for a family holiday, hoping to get a good few rides in.
I'll be riding my 26" Trance - I won't be riding full on downhill, but hoping to do uplift riding. Will prob start with the blues and just see how I get on.
I was thinking I my need some more robust tyres, but perhaps not full on DH tyres as I wouldn't get much use out of them after the trip. Would something like Spec Butcher Control be suitable, or would I be better off with something even more heavy duty?
I have a folding 60a High roller 1 and Crossmark in the shed. The crossmark is very lightweight and don't think the side walls would last 4 mins!
I'm about 16 stone riding weight.
Any advice appreciated.

If you're using lifts go for a downhill tyre for the pinch and pucture protection. 2.35" high rollers will do you out there no matter what the weather is like.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
