hi guys, here's my Cannondale jekyll 3 i brought it in January from pauls for £1599 reduced from £3200. Back in may of last year i demoed one of these at the queen elizabeth country park cycle fest and fell in love with it as it just felt right, until i saw the price tag £3200. I knew only working part time through college i would never be able too afford one, so i started looking at the new giant trance range but with it not being in stock for months i started looking around for bargains and found this, it was only about a week after finding i ordered one.

Just finished building it up.


First upgrade. I've gone tubeless using stanve 33mm valves and sealant.


For my first trip away with it i went to wales, bike park wales and afan specifically. Me and my brother who's got a giant anthem had a blast. i would only return to bpw if i could get on the uplift. I will also be returning to afan to do the blade again once ive built up a decent level of fitness, it just felt like a never ending climb. i also did penhyyd (sp?) which i loved. The bike rides well i just need more time to fiddle with the suspension as this is my first proper mountain bike im a noob to it all. We stayed at afan lodge, a good bunch of mtbers run the place and i will be staying there again.




When i can get hold of a good camera i will get some better photos.

The urge to upgrade has already kicked in,planned upgrades are. In no order.
1, Sram xx1
2,Reverb
3,Mavic crossmax enduro wts
4,Enve bar


This mountain bike melark is getting expensive, but i dont drink, smoke and rarely go out, so this is my way of relaxing.

Lovely looking bit of kit mate!
I'll have to weigh in on the idea of XX1 - it's cool, but it's not worth the extra money over 1x10!
Trust me, get a narrow/wide ring up front, a clutch rear mech and go 1x10. You won't miss the extra gear of 1x11 unless you're used to 1x11 I'm sure. Does the same job and a lot cheaper!

I've been thinking about it. I've got an xt clutch much already. I might just get a nice set of cranks and a narrow wide along with a hope t Rex range extender.

Race face next sl. Maybe xtr if I can find a good bb30 converter.

I want a 150mm pike too, this should be a good build

Love these bikes, but i have a huge soft sport for dales after my caad2 in the early days.

I would def dump the fox off and find a pike and quickly to maintain sale value of the fox you should come out of it not to far down in the cost of living :P

The upgrades will be after august im afaid. i have to wait till i finish college so i can go full time and have a holiday to pay for.

Beefy lad but sure the upgrades planned will get the weight down, if that bothers you.
