Hi all,
im looking at getting the Forme Alport from my LBS tomorrow. I'm just after some information about the bike. Has anyone got one and can let me know what its like? I've not had a 29er before but the chap recommended it over a standard MTB for everyday road use and occasional off road trails.
Only issue is he is selling it for £849, yet RRP is £799!
Looks a nice bike and its British aswell, always like to support home grown products

I never pay rrp for my bikes and would certainly never consider one above rrp!
A hybrid or CX bike would probably be better if your not riding anything technical.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Thanks for the replies. Seems he might be on a good commission then!
Any recommendations for around £800? Are Forme not a recommended brand?
90% of use is a 10 mile ride to work each day then a few times a month off-road trails.
Only advantage at the shop is I can do 0% finance.'07 Giant Terrago - Gone but not forgotten....thankyou Center Parcs......

If you've got £800 to spend there will be plenty of excellent options out there. Look at the Boardmans at Halfords (factor in the various discounts you can get) and also look on Pauls Cycles for Bargains.0
