Voodoo Bizango or Calibre two.two?

Following on from my previous thread, we have had a change of plan and will only be buying a bike for me right now and the wife will get one later in the year. We had decided to get a Voodoo Bizango for me and a Calibre two.two for the wife. I can get the Bizango for about £430 after all discounts. The Calibre for around £330 after discounts.
But, now I am not sure if I should get the Calibre now for myself and the pass it on to the wife later, or just go with the Bizango.
Being a newbie, I am not sure which one offers the best spec and value. I presume it is the Bizango. I know one is a 29er and the other isn't. Both have excellent reviews for their price ranges and I have done a lot of reading from owners which generally supports the reviews.
So, question is....in my position which one would you go for? Specs are below.

Ordered the Bizango in the end.
The Halfords £60 off a £600 spend offer has just finished I think, so that's it down to £540.
Then I have British Cycling membership which gives 10% off (cost just over £10 to join) and I also pre purchased Halfords vouchers, with a 10% off offer. So that's a further 20% off. So down to around £432. Finally, around £15 cashback through Quidco. Bit if effort but a good discount so worth it.0 -
They won't take that in store in Lincoln, they won't let you use the British Cycling discount in with any other offers, it say on the BC site, and also I asked in store yesterdayKev

They have done it before no problems. If they say no, I will tell them to forget it. Bet they change their mind then0
