Which Bike?

I want to get more into cycling and start cycling to work (14 miles each way). I don't have a big budget and have been looking second hand but due to being 6 foot 4 not many bikes come up in my size.

I have found these;

Not sure if they are any good, they are on ebay for £225. Is the Exage a better bike than the Trieste?

Thanks in advance

    In terms of quality there wont be much difference.

    One is a triple - three chain rings at the front and will have a wider range of gears.

    One has carbon forks and one steel. The carbon forks will feel stiffer compared to the steel.

    The Exage seems to be more upright which may mean more comfortable but comfort depends to some extent on the rider.

    Difficult to say as the spec is limited. They will work, they must work, but there will always be a difference between them and the others up the model range. It depends what you are used to and what you expect but at £250 (eBay) or £449 RRP you are at the bottom of the cycling enthusiast's budget. If you're handy with tools and mechs you may be better going for a 2nd hand bike.

    Why not look at Decathlon's range (specifically the Triban)? They are more of a known quantity and tend to get good reviews. Buying from a shop will also allow you to try them for size, unlike eBay.

    I would have said this but thought the Decathlon prices are higher than the OP's indicated budget but perhaps not: £299 and large frame sizes in stock:
