Garmin Edge 510 not detecting Sensors

Hi All
My 510 was crashing yesterday after I came in from a ten mile run. Had to switch it off to get it working not once but repetitively. This morning no sensors, GSC10, HRM and iphone5s. Nothing. Had to use CycleMeter. So now I have done a factory reset and still nothing, even with the sensors just centimetres away. What gives here? I have had the kit from June 2013 so still under warranty, is this a defect? Anyone else had this issue? I have not changed batteries yet. did 2013 miles January 1st and 650 miles since.

Have you tried riding without the gps and sensors, what actual "real" benefit do they bring to your ride?
Do you adjust your cadence/HR/speed to the sensors?
Do you spend more time reviewing your ride than actually riding it?
Have you ever skipped a ride because the gps or sensors weren't working and therefore it doesn't count?
General questions open to all so not picking on the OP.
I "may" have done one of these before I saw the light0 -

Good questions all, but not all of us are the same, people in general are each individually unique, guess you are too!
I need the data to improve how I train and to review where I have ridden. I ride because I love to. So can you help me?Ride Safe! Keep Safe!

OP - sounds like you need to pair the unit up to the sensors once more.
DHL - Speed sensor - evens out the sometimes erratic speed calculation under GPS alone - not critical though.
Cadence sensor - yes, you could count to get your cadence - but it's easier just to look at a data source - helpful if you're trying to increase your cadence rather than just mash
Heart Rate monitor - you could go on feel, but sometimes a HRM can encourage you to push just that little bit more.
I do review the data from all the above and it's interesting to see changes over time - cadence and HR especially - the cadence increasing and the HR recovering more quickly following an effort.
Never skipped a ride because the sensors aren't working - nor even if the GPS isn't working - so they're not critical - just a nice to have.0 -
Anyone can explain way my sensors can't see my Edge 510 anymore? I did a hard boot by holding all the buttons down and not letting go until the splash screen went. Got a diagnostic screen. Had to enable all sensors in the menu. So now the phone can connect but no sensors. Changed the battery in the HRM unit and still no joy. Email Garmin support, 3 days to wait. Anyone here had such difficulties?

My 810 has done this a couple of times. I've corrected this by "forgetting" sensors on the handset and then re-pairing.0
