    They are all much the same, just a pair of cartridge bearings and some cones. FSA, cane creek, ritchey will all do the job for example.

    yes, the lower bearing tends to wear out first in my experience but you can get unbranded replacements from places like superstar components that will do the job just as well. Just make sure you get the right size and face angle.

    Using a Ritchey WCS one now after poor lifespan from previous unbranded cheapies. Seems much easier to set the preload and so far no rust dribbling out at fork crown after wet rides.
