Thinking of upgrading your shock body to something that’s harder wearing and lower friction? Scratched your shock body and need a tougher replacement? Then move over Kashima, it’s time for the all new PUSH Industries ‘PUSHima’ shock bodies for Fox Float/CTD shocks
The black shock bodies have a black lubricant film/ hard coat that is both harder wearing and lower friction than the Fox Kashima versions. If you are already running the new stealth black RockShox Pike/ Revelation forks and have a Fox air shock, then these are going to looking pretty trick on your bike.
'PUSHima' Black Shock Body - Price £42, fitted as part of a standard service (Total cost £135).
Or if you just need to replace a worn out body then the standard PUSH Float hard coat replacement body will ensure that your shock keeps on going strong.
Standard PUSH Float Shock Body - Price £32, fitted as part of a standard service (Total cost £125).
Available from May 2014.

Just had a look at your website and cant find any more info out about PUSHima... What would the cost be to get my Trek remedy Push tuned with a PUSHima shaft (isnt the shock body the main bit?)?
Will any of the mags be reviewing it?
Will get mine booked in with you when you get a firm launch date.

Seems good value, I half wondered if it was an April fool!0

Is it an April fool? If not any links?0

It makes a lot of sense, it's just a bad day to announce something like that, and particularly with the name being such a parody of Kashima I couldn't decide!0
-
I call April fools lol.0

I got the email in March so if it's an April fool, they're bad at it...Uncompromising extremist0
-
Well I can't find any links anywhere....strange.0

Which was what made me wonder if it was a bad April fool! It makes a lot of sense, and based on Northwind's email it's genuine, but the only references on Google appear to be here and STW posts!0

Its a proper product and not a April fools.0

Here's me thinking a pushmia was an overpriced scarf from India0

The Kashima coating is not really much new... It is a version of another process called Tufram which is used in aerospace and by NASA, The same company have a coating called Hi T which has the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid in the world.
I have used brake pistons coated with tufram in my race bikes and they move and work so smoothly.
So April Fool or not there are better coatings out there....0 -
This isn't Kashima though, no ones disputing the existence of that!0

Hi all,
I got my RP23 Push Tuned & Push Coated this week. I am yet to mount it on my Frame (specialized FSR XC '06) but here are the before & after pics. Amazing service and cost - it took them 1 day to do the service and coating and only cost £43 for the coating.
It looks awesome but, I was hoping it would be a bit shinier. See what you think.
Happy Riding!0 -
How does it compare to the fast black stanchions on rockshox forks? I'm tempted to be a bit of a tart and do it for the stealth look.0

Fast Black stanchions are the aftermarket stanchions for BoXXers and as far as I could tell work no better than my standard stanchions with Racing Bros seals and better quality oil in the lowers.
Not sure what the black coating on Rockshox latest forks is called but as far as I can tell it's purely cosmetic.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
