Somerset routes

Hi

Just getting into mtb'ing and was wondering if people know of any good routes in the somerset area. I'm based in Frome, on the boarder to Wiltshire so the closer the better really but travelling is possible.

    I'm also in Frome. The best local stuff is around Longleat. For extra milage you can link up to Cold Kitchen Hill and Southleigh Woods or Stourhead.
    Its also worth a trip down to the Quantocks occasionally.

    Yeah i assumed Longleat would have been my best option. Now it is staying light later I think i will go for an explore one evening.

    Are there any particular areas you suggest?

    Cannimore Woods has the best single track. There's also some good stuff between Shearwater and Centre Parks though there is some logging going on around there at the moment. Southleigh woods is pretty good, go through the village and enter the woods near the water works. Look out for the single yrack on the left just after you enter the woods.
