Need to get some hex/ Allen keys.
The basic ones I'm using I swear are destroying my bolts Lol.

Like the look of the P style ones ie park tools but the price is silly.

Any recommendations of good set of handled hex keys?

I got a set off amazon for about £15, been fine for the past 12 months, the t-handle ball-end ones are a lot easier to use than normal allen keys or mini tools for workshop jobs

I've got one of the Y-shaped Park one (4,5 & 6mm). Pretty good, but a bit awkward on front derailleur bolts. I normally just use a Bahco BE-9770 set, really good quality and a longer length so good for undoing. Have to be careful tightening though.
  • Been looking around and seen a couple of decent sets as well as a cheap set. I want a set that won't Ruin bolts.

    So far

If you don't want to spend too much, halfords and screwfix both sell something fairly decent.
For early 30s (eBay) you can get a Teng set. Very good quality.

Personally I'd by a set of socket Allen keys, I've got a set of halfords professional which I've had forever.
Condor Super Acciaio, Record, Deda, Pacentis.
Curtis 853 Handbuilt MTB, XTR, DT Swiss and lots of Hope.
Genesis Datum Gravel Bike, Pacentis (again).
    Genesis Equilibrium Disc, 105 & H-Plus-Son.

    Mostly Steel.

Good allen keys don't wreck bolts. I almost ruined a transmission drain plug with a 5mm Halfords Allen socket. Bought a Snap-On socket and it took the half ruined plug straight out. Snap-On are damn expensive but cheaper than a stuck / wrecked bolt. I believe Park are similar quality.

the only things that park make good quality are the big cutting tools, everything else is above average but nothing special. This comes from a guy who uses the master tool kit daily.

The park allen keys etc, are certainly not of the same level as snap-on! I'd be looking at one of the high end sets. Personally I rate the halfords professional stuff for non-moving tools as there's a lifetime warranty if you keep the receipts, or snap on if you're rubbish at those sorts of things.

Cool thanks. Don't think I'll get a socket set due to cost £50+ the link I posted from machine mart look good so might go for them, although if you know of a better set for around £30 let me know;)
