Mountain biking around London?

Hi all

I'm a beginner mountain biker bringing my bike down to the London area for a couple of days and looking for somewhere to start!

I'll be staying near the Olympic Park but I don't think the new course there is open yet?

I'll be coming from the North so is Epping Forrest my best bet?

Any tips appreciated.

    Your options are a bit limited in the built up bits so I reckon Epping Forest is probably the most convenient for where you are in E/NE London. Unless you like riding around flattish parks full of people. Take it you have got a car to cart your stuff around in?

    Surrey Hills is just a short drive around the M25 (sh1t drive but probably worth the trip)- loads of riding, but nothing is marked so ideally you need a guide.
