Hi all I'm looking to change my 52/39 chain set to a compact. Can I just buy new chain rings and adjust the front mech accordingly

    Chances are your chain set will be a 130BCD which won't take a compact chain ring set. For a compact you need 110BCD.
    I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

    Your chain may need shortening too.
    Red bikes are the fastest.
