Raleigh Dynatech Rear Derailleur Twist

Hi,

I bought a Raleigh Dynatech a while back and on the Dun Run last summer something got caught in the rear derailleur and it twisted right back. We managed to get it back into place, and it worked fine for the extra 30 miles we needed to do to Ipswich (cheers Great Eastern!) The fork end bent slightly and we righted that too but I'm wondering if it's a danger to ride?

I've gone on a few very short rides and it seems ok, but I'm worried the fork end might have stress (pretty sure it's steel) or the derailleur might suddenly give up? Anyway, it's not the fanciest of bikes, so if I can get away with minimal repairs that would make me happy...

Thanks!
