HELP NEEDED ! …. I have a halfords cycle2work voucher burnin a hole in my pocket. Was initially leaning towards a 29er but now nearly sure gonna go 650b. So choices at the minute are :

BOARDMAN TEAM HT 650b -http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_992048_langId_-1_categoryId_165499#tab2

BOARDMAN TEAM 650b FS TEAM -

WHYTE 901 650b -
http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/1545 ... -bike-2014

Like the look of the whyte but i'd be paying an extra £200 with voucher. Could possibly get another 10% off the boardmans with my british cycling membership. Currently riding a 2010 boardman pro ht, so the whyte would be a major change in riding style. Finding it hard to make a decision. Could even get an on one 456 frame and boardman for the price of the whyte.

thoughts please…..

I have a Whyte (905) and it has a really nice slack geometry which is hard to beat IMO. Not sure of the geo of the Boardman range...

i'm thinking the newer boardmans mite be a bit more relaxed but my older one is a bit arse up. Is the 901 built on the same frame as the 905. Is your 905 the newer 650b or older 26"? ……. I see big discounts on older whytes. wondering are the 650b's worth the spec downgrade for the difference in wheel size?

My money is going on the Whyte 901 650b. It felt amazing, the perfect bike for me. Gave me a real buzz.

Yes I have . For me the Whyte was a dream ride compared to the Boardman but a bike is a personal thing. What suits one doesn't suit another.
