New Road Bike Advice

Hi all,
I am looking for a new road bike and have a maximum budget of £400. I am not completely new to road cycling and I currently own an old Raleigh borrowed from my dad. I can get 20% off at wheelies if that helps at all. I am just over 6 ft in height but am still growing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I think for that money most people could recommend the Btwin Triban 3

You could also do well going second hand, or sale bikes from your local shop. Best to try a few out. Good luckCanyon Roadlite AL-Shamal Wheels-Centaur/Veloce Group

The Triban 3 red was 'the' bargain bike last year without a doubt.
This years 'white' model less so, downgraded components and no carbon fork.
I appreciate you said £400 as a max, but IF you could find another £29.99 you could bag a triban 5.

Out of the wheelies bikes, the only one that caught my eye that would come within budget is this one.

Felt F95 from Wiggle is slightly lighter bike than the Btwin 5 and is within budget...

looks better imo.

Wholeheartedly agreed!
2% quidco cashback lops another £8 of it as well.
If they have your size and the op is happy with the colour, it's the best new bike out there sub £400 without a doubt.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

s/h will be best if you find the right thing. So many people buying bikes at £1000 cycle to work limit that your budget is bound to get something like that someone is selling on. Some are hardly used at all0

Looks alright (and takes mudgurds if need be) but if you can save a bit more money check out the Basso Devil on Wiggle.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0 -
