2013 Cube Petolon worth the saving compared to 2014?

Considering a Cube Petolon 2014 for £699 http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Peloton-Co ... _67795.htm, but the 2013 is £180 less at £519 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/cube ... prod111953. Its my first road bike, using it for fitness, several short runs a week (~10miles), not much long distance for a while.

I would assume the 2013 would suit my needs fine? Does anyone know what the difference is when going from 2013 to 2014? Is the £180 worth it for I need a bike for? I am not up on parts. They both have Sora.

I would like a decent bike, thought a minimum Sora groupset. Budget was initially £500 but seems 2014 bikes need at least £650 with a Sora. So if 2013 models are fine that would be a good saving. I did initially want a Specialized Specteur, but seems its a similar spec for an extra £150/£200.

I did consider the Felt from Wiggle but they're out of my size http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-z95-sora-w ... 5360562564.

Thanks

The 2013 will be more than good enough for what you're suggesting. I bought the 2013 Peleton Pro at a decent discount in October. The only trouble is, I now enjoy my cycling so much I'm already wanting an upgrade to a full carbon version.

get the older model and spend any extra you have left on some other essentials like shoes, pedals etc

Get the 2013, it does also have branded (Easton and Syntace) contact points as opposed to the 2014 model.
