Wanting to replace the damper in my 2010 Rev RL's as I'm utterly fed up with the remote lock out! Just wondering if it was possible to fit the following:

http://www.tesco.com/direct/rockshox-co ... cmp=ppc_g_{keyword}_{matchtype}&gclid=CJKM_5qUqb0CFZShtAod-HMAXg

I'm happy enough doing the job and I know I could adapt the current damper but at this price I'd just prefer to do it right if the linked damper fits.

Any info would be great :-)

Thanks

Why not just mod it as covered in the tech FAQs?

Could do - just though that for 60 odd quid it might be an option ;-)

I only spotted the damper option when looking for a crown knob which was nearly 30 quid so the full damper looked decent enough value.

If I went DIY which I probably will after checking the link (cheers Nick) would this top cap be the right one:

yep looks like the correct knob to turn into crown adjust.

But I've done remove spring mod and you don't "need" to change the knob. The existing remote spool seems to stay in position fine. Adjusting is a little fiddly though.

Ps thanks for the Tesco link that's a very cheap price almost half price.

Cheers bud. Will tackle it over weekend. Found a more suitable knob on eBay for a tenner which should do the job as it uses a screw fitting similar to the original remote spool. I'll bodge something together - anything would be better than that god awful remote lock out.

Or just use an old friction thumb shifter to give yourself remote adjustment!
