Converting XTR M980 3x10 to 2x10?

How do I go about this please anyone?
Is it simply a case of using the cranks from them and buying the 2x10 rings and all will go together nicely?
Do I need to buy Shimano for these cranks or are there other makes that are compatible?
Thanks

For example, would buying these items do the job?

Or would I be better off with some other chainrings?_______________________________________________________________________________________

You don't even need new rings unless you want to increase your middle ring size.
Easiest option is single chainring bolts, remove outer ring and adjust front mech limit screw, followed by swapping the outer ring for a bash guard and then adjust limit screw.0 -

Even better ditch the inner ring. No one should ride XTR and still need a granny ring.A Flock of Birds

XTR rings are notoriously hard to find BTW - you need XTR specific ones. Very few people make them.A Flock of Birds

The XTR 32t middle looks pretty similar in design to my (now removed) deore 32t0

Only on the race chainset which is already 2x10 :roll:0 -
What Rick said, M980s are just standard 104/64mm BCD, anything will fit. I like TA Specialites rings in your choice of ratios - 28/40 worked well for me.0
