I'm going to be buying a new bike at the start of April so I've been having a look around and found 4 bikes but not sure which will be best? The bikes are
Saracen Tufftrax
Carerra vulcan
Calibre two two
Or
Specialised Hardrock
Thanks in advance

Sorry just realised that i didnt include the models they are all the 2014 models from the main websites from halfords, GOoutdoors and the specialised im not to sure but that seems like a poor choice. The calibre i know comes with rockshox and hydraulic disc brakes the carrera has hydro discs but suntour forks the saracen has suntours and V brakes but is the cheapest. The calibre is also 1kg lighter than the carrera. The big day is in about 2 weeks so i have a lkittke time to look around i have looked for second hand but i dont drive and most want people to come and poick the bike up. Cheers for the help guys0

For me definitely NOT the Specialized or the Saracen. Both very poor spec.
The Calibre has received some glowing reviews and for the price the spec is exceptional.
The Vulcan is ok too, but for me the Calibre.0 -
Dont worry about Suntour forks they are pretty good these days. A matehas just bought a white Suntour XCM for his girlfriends bike and its very smooth, a bit hefty but it does have a coil spring.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Looks like it might be the calibre then unless something else rocks up in that price bracket. Have to see if the Colchester store is able to get one in for a test.0
