Giant Escape RX composite - available in the UK?

When i was in the US a couple of weeks ago, I saw this bike in a local bike shop there and it was very very impressive. Tried searching for it in the UK but can't find it.

Apologies, I am quite new to this game - Are there some bikes from manufacturers that are only country specific and hence not available in the UK?

    That is a hybrid and therefore it is the wrong bike. In about two bikes time you'll look back fondly on your first hybrid and laugh knowingly at yourself for just how wrong your were.

    Just like with any consumer product, different models are available in different markets. Perhaps this (wrong) bike is an example of that.
