Budget Rear Wheel - 26" Shimano Disc

Im after a new rear wheel for my 2005 Cinder Cone refurb. Wheel size is 26" and I have Shimano 6 bolt disc brakes.
Not looking to shell out too much, as I haven't even ridden the bike yet! When I do though it will be fairly tame, mostly through parks, a bit of light off road etc.... For now at least.
Whats a good option, providing a good balance of strength / weight / value for money? Its only the rear wheel I need. Any advice would be much appreciated.

So after some hunting, I see these as 2 potential options:
SRAM 6 Bolt:

Shimano Centre lock (would require me buying a new disc rotor, but is a fair bit cheaper):

What are your views on the above? I understand the sram will still accept my shimano 9 speed cassette?0 -

I would not buy a wheel from any shop described as "Sram MTB - Wheels SRAM 506 Comp MTB Rear Wheel Introduction The Coronado, Biemme's top of the range bibtight. Made from super Roubaix, features include a tailored 8 panel cut, with Swiss style A TEX (windstopper) panels around the front and also down the quad/knee panel giving good protection here too. Stylish, modern winter bibtights in technical fabric."will_85 wrote:Shimano Centre lock (would require me buying a new disc rotor, but is a fair bit cheaper):

I'm making an assumption, but your current hubs are more likely QR (10mm) x135.I don't do smileys.

Reasonable

But I'd go for the one pictured above from Poah if I didn't feel like hunting - decent wheel.I don't do smileys.

You would be correct in that assumption, yes.... So I presume only 10 x 135mm will fit? Sorry, im pretty new to this
POAH, I have given you a PM.0 -
10mm quick release rear axle yes, 135mm dropout spacing.0
