Hello folks, just wondering if anyone has seen any decent deals on wheelsets for round the £200-300 mark? I just want a decent al-round traing wheel with a decent weight. Ive seen some cheap Fulcrum Quattro's, are they any good? I have some 5's and they are ok are Quattro's any better, thanks

£341 with code? I should have said, preferably a campagnolo freehub

They fixed the code. Used to knock 20% off....

For 300 you'd probably best be going handbuilt, anyway.

The Shimano RS81 is discounted to £271.68 with Probike at the moment:

Handbuilts might also be worth considering.

I bought a pair of these 2 weeks ago. I’ve used them for one road race and a few training rides and must say I’m very impressed. As good, if not better, than the Campag Zondas they replaced

That is a great offer. I brought some Zondas last week, wish I waited as the spokes are easier to get hold of as spares for these.

I have a very nearly new (built for me last November, but only covered c.300 miles) set of Kinlin XR300 rims on Miche Primato hubs, CX Ray Spokes (20/24) which i am selling. They were built by Malcolm at TheCycleClinic (posts on here) and are a very good, cheap, race/training wheel. I bought them to use over the winter on better weather days, but as i have more wheelsets than i need, I just haven't used them. They were £310 in November. I reckon the 300 miles is liberal to be honest. They are as new. If you're interested let me know. Yours for £200 + £15 postage. They are shimano freehub, but that's not a good reason to turn down such a deal :-)
  • Will keep the Zondas, done a few miles on them now. Need to focus on getting fit before I try and do any other upgrades!
