You guys are just so cynical, have you ever tried to make a smoothie or wrap your bar tape whilst riding your bike?0

Some people haven't even got to the 'riding your bike' bit...0 -
thanks ff. i really could do to learn how to put my race cape on on the move. i need to be able to ride non handed first but i'll look forward to trying it out."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Please let us know how you get on. Master that and you'll be making smoothies whilst putting your cape on in no time at all.0 -
I'm very impressed with the amount of non handed riding going on,,, but I juggle as well.
Can Froome do that? I don't think so....kiss my face0 -
I wonder who thought this was a good idea?!0

Surprised they didn't do a video on 'How to do an illegal feed'.Contador is the Greatest0

Don't they use the rain capes to hide the smoothies?0 -

I imagine the real experts of this are Saxo, I saw bertie tweeting about his peppercorn sauce recipe the other day.0 -

Well I'm a woman and seeing as I can multitask I can do all this while also doing the vacuuming using the hoover I won in my last World Cup race.ddraver wrote:At the weekend I sat up, removed arm warmers and gilet and stuffed them in the back pocket no handed at the weekend
It was genuinely one of my proudest moments!
Ah the joys of cycling in Blighty. Not so easy in the permawind of the Netherlands. The last time I tried this I got blown into a dune. :?Correlation is not causation.0 -

I did it a dew week's ago. Didn't get it into my back pocket well enough. Gilet fell out and got stuck in my cassette. Didn't feel quite as proud after that....0 -

That is an outstanding excuse and I'm keeping it!We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I do like the idea of cleaning the bike whilst riding it, you are indeed World Champion of the Little Things0 -

I can't lie to you Luther a clean bike is important. It is the line between winning and loosing, between success and failure, between good and great, between dreaming and believing, between convention and innovation, between head and heart, it is the line between slovenliness and obsessive compulsive disorder. It is the line and I ride it everyday.feltkuota wrote:I did it a dew week's ago. Didn't get it into my back pocket well enough. Gilet fell out and got stuck in my cassette. Ouch! But more importantly is the bike OK? Priorities and all that.Richmond Racer wrote:ddraver wrote:Above The Cows wrote:Ah the joys of cycling in Blighty. Not so easy in the permawind of the Netherlands. The last time I tried this I got blown into a dune. :?

On mine or ddraver's part? I wish I had been tiddly. It would have made it less embarrassing. I blame everything on the wind here, my slowness, my outstanding speed, my shoddy bike handling, the whole farrago.Correlation is not causation.0 -
most importantly i just heard pete kennaugh pronounce his own surname"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

In 15 years of cycling, I've never taken my gilet off no handed.
I saw it go horribly wrong once early on..."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I can recommend practicing it on a cycle path through the dunes, the sand makes for a nice soft landing. The sea grass is a little prickly but...Correlation is not causation.0 -

Do you get far enough south to get those bloody awful rumble strip things between Katwijk and Wassenaar? Flipping awful they are!!
I found a 2km stretch of pave on a housing estate on sunday. Appalling."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

In case you do not know how to clean your bike, Team Sky have kindly done a 'how-to':

They do a wonderful job with Muc-Off product placement and name dropping.
Seeing all those photos of water spray makes me wonder how many litres the pro peloton wastes each year cleaning bikes.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Great! Cos my efforts are not what even my dear old mum would call thorough0 -
I'm guessing a damp jay-cloth just doesn't cut it in the pro peleton ...0

Imagine a paying sponsor, who gets zero coverage on the telly, getting some on their website. Shock.
I've worked with artists who are sponsored before, and this doesn't amount to good product placement, in all but to shots, the name of the company is covered (partly or fully) or facing away.
You really should give it up, with the constant Sky digs, it's beyond tedious.0 -
