You guys are just so cynical, have you ever tried to make a smoothie or wrap your bar tape whilst riding your bike?

Please let us know how you get on. Master that and you'll be making smoothies whilst putting your cape on in no time at all.

At the weekend I sat up, removed arm warmers and gilet and stuffed them in the back pocket no handed at the weekend

It was genuinely one of my proudest moments!

I'm very impressed with the amount of non handed riding going on,,, but I juggle as well.

Can Froome do that? I don't think so....kiss my face

And I stuffed my back pockets in to my arm warmers and removed my hands. So different we all are.

Don't they use the rain capes to hide the smoothies?

Well I'm a woman and seeing as I can multitask I can do all this while also doing the vacuuming using the hoover I won in my last World Cup race. :D

Ah the joys of cycling in Blighty. Not so easy in the permawind of the Netherlands. The last time I tried this I got blown into a dune. :?

I did it a dew week's ago. Didn't get it into my back pocket well enough. Gilet fell out and got stuck in my cassette. Didn't feel quite as proud after that....

I can't lie to you Luther a clean bike is important. It is the line between winning and loosing, between success and failure, between good and great, between dreaming and believing, between convention and innovation, between head and heart, it is the line between slovenliness and obsessive compulsive disorder. It is the line and I ride it everyday.

Ouch! But more importantly is the bike OK? Priorities and all that.

On mine or ddraver's part? I wish I had been tiddly. It would have made it less embarrassing. I blame everything on the wind here, my slowness, my outstanding speed, my shoddy bike handling, the whole farrago.

  • In 15 years of cycling, I've never taken my gilet off no handed.

I saw it go horribly wrong once early on...

I can recommend practicing it on a cycle path through the dunes, the sand makes for a nice soft landing. The sea grass is a little prickly but...

I found a 2km stretch of pave on a housing estate on sunday. Appalling.

In case you do not know how to clean your bike, Team Sky have kindly done a 'how-to':

They do a wonderful job with Muc-Off product placement and name dropping.

Seeing all those photos of water spray makes me wonder how many litres the pro peloton wastes each year cleaning bikes.

Imagine a paying sponsor, who gets zero coverage on the telly, getting some on their website. Shock.

I've worked with artists who are sponsored before, and this doesn't amount to good product placement, in all but to shots, the name of the company is covered (partly or fully) or facing away.

You really should give it up, with the constant Sky digs, it's beyond tedious.
