Shimano bleed nipple cover?

Has anyone found an alternative to the shimano bleed nipple covers? Crc doesn't have any in stock and even then it's £1.50 for a tiny piece of rubber. I've looked on eBay and found loads of covers and caps but I can't find what size I need. In the description for some of them it says 7 or 8 mm but is that the actual size of the nut the or the diameter of the nipple?

    The end of the bleed nipple is definitely not 7 or 8mm across - that's the wrench size for opening it.

    You could maybe try snipping a short length off the silicone tubing you use for bleeding. A small blob of bathroom silicone to seal one end and it would then work as a little push-on cap.
