Hi
I'm after a bike for a 6-8mile each way commute (canal tow path and road). I've test ridden several (both hybrid and cyclocross) and narrowed it down to the Specialized Sirrus Elite Disc 2014 Hybrid Bike and the HOY Shizuoka .003 2014 Hybrid B.

The Sirrus is comfortable and great componentry but feels a little dull to ride and screams "steal me", the HOY on the other hand is twitchy, hard and much more fun, but doesn't have the quality of componentry.

I much prefer the clean lines on the HOY making it look like a single speed.

Does anyone have any comments to sway me back to the Spec?

Thanks!

Thanks. Having just spent the day test riding I've come round to the cyclocross option and going to buy the Genesis Croix De Fer. Which is perfect in almost every way!
