Sorry to start another of these threads, but ive been trawling the internet for the past week and cannot decide on which MTB to buy.
Im not intending to to do any major downhill or trail centre stuff, the bike is mostly for on forestry tracks, singletrack and long distance rides such as West Highland Way, Cape wrath trail etc. So mostly off road, with the odd time on a tarred road.

I have a budget of roughly £400.
After some reading, i have narrowed it down to 3 choices.

Calibre Two.Two £369

Carrera Kraken £449

Scott Aspect 620 £449

The Calibre has Rockshox forks, but i read someone saying that particular model are comparable to the Suntour forks.

I was leaning towards the Calibre, as its cheaper, but i dont mind spending the bit extra if im getting a better bike.

Would appreciate it if someone else could give me some input on what they think is the best pick. (Or even recommend another if you like, though i fear you'll just make the decision even harder :P )

Cheers!

Done a bit more reading and it seems the forks are better on the Calibre, not just equal, so that sorta swings it again to the Calibre. Doesn't look like i'll go far wrong with it from reviews etc ive read.

Still curious as to what others would pick from the 3 if it was their money.

    That's a good choice.
