Need some advice please on which type of bike to get, hard tail vrs full suspension
I will have a budget of anything upto 1000gbp
The bike will be used on mountain trails, not intending to race or anything like that
I have found this : http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/products.php?show=4359
Any recommendations on other bikes appreciated

Good choice. Have a look on the same website at the Giant Trance.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I'd go for a decent hardtail myself - like the 2012 905 listed here: http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/category/562/Whyte or maybe an on one 456. Then you've got 29ers too. Some prefer full suspension though...'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

Why choose the 456 over a RZ120 or Trance?
I had one and they are ok, perfectly decent bike but I have also had a Trance and ridden an RZ120 and they are both a lot nicer than the 456. Lighter as well.
Never ridden a 905 though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
