Carrera Fury buying advice

Hello all. I, as it says have come to seek some advice.

I have purchesed a Carrera Fury through ebay (not yet collected). It was advertised as the 2010 model but appears to have mechanical disc brakes and is 24 speed. Are there 2010 models with these components? Possibly a 2006 model?

I believe the 2010 model came with a very good spec, had an air fork, was very highly rated, and it was white!

It did not have mechanical brakes.

I thought that maybe they produced two seprate models. I have only been able to find the specifications for the highly rated model. I decided to cancel the purchase as the bike did not match the advertised specs. Bought a 2013 model instead.

The last fury with cable discs as standard was 2005. The bike was a satin grey colour with black detailing, and blue shimano deore calipers.
