Hello,
What bottom brackets are compatible with the Shimano XT M785 10 Speed chainset? I've only ever had internal BB's so the externals are a bit of a mystery to me at the moment, but wanted to try them on a new build.
Thanks
Alex

Any HTII compatable.
I'd avoid Deore - they are pretty pants, but cheap.
Go for the SLX/XT version - or Hope if you're flush. Perhaps even the XTR version.
And btw, if you're buying the chainset - the BBs come with them usually. May need facing if it's never had an external on it.0 -
Doh! Just read the small print on the website where I was going to buy the chainset from and you're quite right it says at the bottom "Comes complete with bottom bracket for 68 and 73 mm frames". I should read more!

Slightly changing subject it also says "For use with 10-speed HG-X MTB chains only". Does that mean I have to get a specific chain for this chainset or will a KMC chain for example work just as well?0

Youll be fine with any 10 or 9 speed chain (obviously depending on your cassette number of cogs)A Flock of Birds

BTW - Saint has longer cups (screw part) so may not work with every frame.0
