Giant Defy 2 2014 or Specialized Allez Elite 2013

I’m looking for some advice on the above 2 bikes. I’m looking for an entry level bike and have narrowed the search down to these 2. Giant Defy 2 2014 or Specialized Allez Elite 2013. I can get both for around the same price. Any views/opinions would be appreciated.

    Try using the Search Box at the top of the page in the Road Buying Advice and Road Beginners Forums. Type in the bike models you are interested in and hit search, you should get some results as these are popular beginners bikes.

    Aren't these two bikes aimed at a different riding need?

    TCR vs Allez and Defy vs Secteur?

    Yes you are correct, Giant class the Defy a performance endurance model, Specialized class the Allez Elite a competitive road model, so not comparing like with like.

    OP did you know that? Have you been to an LBS to try them out for size/fit?
